Scoil Mocheallóg has a long tradition of Irish dancing. For many years, Breda Mulcahy taught Irish Dancing to our pupils for their first four years in school. Breda retired as of September 2020 and we wish her the best in her retirement.
From time to time we also do modules in other forms of dance. Senior classes do a six week workshop in set dancing and sean nós with Pat O’Dea. Junior classes enjoy a modules in Zumba /hip hop during the third term of the school year.
Every year we have a Céilí mór for Seachtain na Gaeilge where the whole school gets to dance together!
